Zep Support access
Give Zep Support read-only access to your account for 72 hours, and revoke it at any time.
Overview
Zep Support cannot open your account. When you want help with a problem that is easier to see than to describe, you grant Zep Support read-only access for 72 hours. The access ends automatically. You can revoke it sooner.
A grant is read-only. Zep Support can read your account settings and your project data. Zep Support cannot:
- change data
- change settings
- invite members
- create API keys
- change billing
- delete anything
Before you start
- Support access is available on Zep Cloud. BYOC deployments do not offer it.
- Your account must have role-based access control turned on. The Members page tells you when it is off.
- You must be an Account Owner or an Account Admin.
Grant access
Extend or revoke access
Select Extend to set a new 72-hour window. The window starts again from the moment you select it. It does not add 72 hours to the time that remains.
Select Revoke to end the access immediately. Zep Support loses the account on the next request.
You do not have to revoke a grant. It ends by itself after 72 hours.
What Zep Support sees
A member of Zep Support signs in with their own Zep credentials. Your account then appears in their account switcher with the label “Zep Support” and the time when the access ends. Your enterprise SSO login is not required for that entry, and it is not started.
Zep Support members do not appear in your member list, and they do not count against your seats. You cannot invite, change, or remove them. Revoke is your control.
Support access does not change your account’s inactivity clock. A dormant account stays on its cycle while Zep Support reads it.
Audit
Zep records these events on every plan:
- grant
- extension
- use
- revocation
- expiry
Each record names the person who acted and the account.
Reading the audit log in the dashboard stays an Enterprise Plan capability. See Audit logging.
